This quilt is a reproduction of a quilt circa 1850s – 1860s, the origin of which is unknown. The original quilt was made in plain red, cream and green quilter's muslin. The scrappy look of this quilt totally changes its character. Note the one quirky block which was also in the antique quilt and which enhance it's character. Lost Ships can be pieced by hand or machine or can be foundation pieced for speed and accuracy. Instructions are included for hand and machine piecing and foundation piecing.
